I have the genesis coupe 2.0. My trunk is open most mornings when i leave for work. I make sure it is closed every evening and sure enough in the morning it's open. Twice the car has been towed to the dealer for a dead battery. Of course, they can't find the cause, but want me to pick up the car. Has anyone else had this problem?
Please help since the dealer can't. Thanks! |

I had a 2.0t premium and before I wrote it off the trunk did open randomly I never got it checked and never had it open at night or anything like. When I was out of the car it would open and then when I went to leave would see the light on the dash. Never had the battery go dead or anything like that. Not that this will help you but just so you know your not the only one
I did get another genesis coupe thank god. Haven't had any trouble with this one.

The battery probably died from the trunk light staying on all night. I would say do what MiamiGenesis did and have the locks replaced. If that doesn't help it, then it's electrical, and I would tell the dealership to give you a new car.
